The Roteck (Italian: Monte Rosso) is the highest mountain of the Texel group in the Ötztal Alps. The normal route is, with the exception of the uppermost part near the east ridge, relatively easy. The part near the east ridge is equipped with fixed ropes since 1901. The route starts from the Lodnerhütte and does not involve any glaciers traverses.
