Pen-y-ghent is the lowest of the three peaks in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.It can be enjoyed at any time of the year and has an excellent 360o view of the Dales and surrounding area.Can be walked from Horton or from the minor road between Stainforth and Halton gill.

This peak lies on the Pennine Way walk and is one of the highlights of this national trail.
