A Sierra eastern escarpment mountain with steep granite ridges rising about 8500 feet to the west above the nearby town of Olancha on US 395. Extremely difficult to climb from the eastern face but a easy scramble from the Pacific Crest Trail on its western flank above Monache Meadows.
