  • Log #10241 - by Evan on May 27, 20023.00 stars
It was a nice hike up the airline trial with good views of the snow gullies in King Rvine. If you take a picture, it's hard to tell if it's in Colorado or not. No one would guess it to be New England.
  • Log #10242 - by Bill Conley on July 30, 20013.00 stars
Hiked up via Air Line Trail along Durand Ridge. Trail is a good long hike attaining approx. 4,500 feet of elevation gain and the views paid off for the hard work. Mt. Washington looms over head 3.

Strolled across the top in a cold drizzle while hiking a good chunk of the Appalachian Trail. Went into the AMC hut at the base, which in those days was a cheap source of warmth and basic food,...
  • Log #10245 - by Jim Lombard on June 22, 20013.00 stars
Hiked from Lowes Path in superb conditions. I read a report from March 3rd saying they had the best weather of the year...I'd have to dispute that. Amazingly winds on the summit never exceeded 10 mph...

  • Log #10248 - by Jeremiah Jenne on Mar 14, 20003.00 stars
Hiked up Spur Trail to Lowe's from Crag Camp. About 3"-4" of fresh powder on snow field and varying visibility (30'-100') made route finding occasionally tricky. Light snow falling and...

  • Log #10251 - by Wally Malicki on July 23, 19993.00 stars
The airline train from Appalachia is the most direct route, although a little exposed from the north - once you get above the tree line. The views are amazing starting at the "knife's edge"...
