Mount Adams Trip Report (#10243)

Climbed this peak during winter traverse of the Presidential Range, beginning at the trailhead of the Howker Ridge trail, north of the Range. Very difficult approach up the "Howkes", summitted Adams at the end of the second day of climbing after summitting Madison, climbing over to Thunderstorm Junction, and then up to summit of Adams. Great views of Great Gulf, Jefferson, Clay and Washington. Weather deteriorated next day as we reached summit of Mt. Washington...My second year in a row of climbing in the Presidentials in the winter. For alpine challenge with "weather", it cannot be beaten in the Continental 48!
