Topo La Bandera is one of the highest points of Parque Nacional Guatopo. It is covered by a beautifull cloud forest. The best route to the summit is a 2½ hour trek from El Tiamo, wich is a very small group of houses and mountain people. To go to El Tiamo reach first Hacienda El Onoto (15 minutes, on a paved road, from Altagracia de Orituco towars Parque Nacional Guatopo. Ask for information to cath the right trail to El Tiamo.

Look for a guide at El Tiamo. The trail is often partially cover by plants. Stay a night or two at El Tiamo...you will thank this recomendation.
