Climbed Mangart 2678 m, on July 9, 2010, from the Mangart saddle (south-west side), with a car parking at 2055 m (entrance fee 5 euro, paid far below, close to the beginning of the Mangart road). Started at 12:30 and reached the summit at 14, along the Italian normal route. The Slovenian route was officially closed.
Due to such a high altitude car access, the climbing is in fact an unproblematic walk, with a few passages over some short snow fields, which does not require any special gear. Excellent views towards Jalovec and Triglav, and towards Montaz (Jof di Montasio) in the west.
