Annapurna South

Featured photo of Annapurna South

Seen from the South, Annapurna South is one of the most impressive peaks of the Annapurna Range. It towers more than 5000 m above the valley of the Modi Khola and blocks the view to the 8091 m high Annapurna I.

It's north-eastern slopes are impressively high above the Annapurna Sanctuary, a popular trekking destination. Seen from the west Annapurna South looks like a beautiful pyramid.
