Pierre Avoi

Pierre Avoi (2473 m) is a sharp peak in the north-west direction from Verbier. The normal route from Verbier is a pleasant walk over pastures and meadows, all the time with the best possible views of Petit Combin and Mont Blanc. Only the final 30-40 meters are a vertical rock equipped with a lengthy ladder. From Verbier it can be climbed in less than 90 minutes. Routes from the north and north west are steep rock climbs up to grade 6. The road from Val de Bagnes to Verbier is very attractive and it starts from Le Chable. De valley itself continues towards Fionnay and Lac de Mouvoisin from where several routes start towards Grand Combin massif and La Ruinette.

Climbed together with my two daughters from the Verbier side. Descended by taking a longer but pleasant walk towards the east (to Savoleires 2338 m) and then back to Verbier.
