Featured photo of Flüela-Wisshorn

Flüela-Wisshorn (3085 m) is the mountain in the northeast direction from the Flüela pass (2383 m), in Davos region. The normal route to the summit starts at the Wägerhus (2207 m) which is not far from the pass in the direction of Davos. There is a free parking at the beginning of the route and also at the Flüela pass. From the Wägerhus follow the signs towards Winterlucke, a pass at the altitude of 2787 m. The walk to the Winterlucke pass is pleasant with nice views of the Davos region and the Flüela-Schwarzhorn on the other side of the Flüela pass.

From the Winterlucke pass follow the ridge in the south-east direction towards the summit. From this point one is rewarded with a nice view on 5 glacier lakes (Jöriseen) on the north side of the ridge which get water from the small Jörigletscher. Only this part requires some scramble which may become a bit tricky in case of rain when the rock becomes slippery. No special equipment is required.

Time required for the climbing is around 2 hours and 40 minutes (1:40 from the Wägerhus to Winterlucke and 1 hour from Winterlucke to the summit).
