Corazón is an inactive eroded volcano, situated about 30 km southwest of Quito in the western slopes of the Andes. It is shaped like a heart, hence the Spanish name Corazón, meaning "heart". The local name of the peak is Guallancatzo. Access is through private land.

    el corazon is an easy, lonely peak. unfortunately wind and clouds. early in the morning driving up a jeep road. after 3 hrs easy walking.
