Piedmont Butte

Piedmont Butte is an attractive butte 3882 feet in elevation just east-northeast of the town of Piedmont. It is famous for Petrified wood and rare prehistoric fossils. A new genus of dinosaur, the Barosaurus, was discovered there in 1889.
