Mt Ballow is situated in Mt Barney National Park South East Queensland Where it is one of the highest peaks after Mt Superbus and Mt Barney. It is composed mostly of Basalt and supports Cool Temperate Rainforest with Antartic Beech Nothofagus moorei and Montane Heath.
