Sicaba Dacu Peak

Featured photo of Sicaba Dacu Peak

The northeastern peak of Mount Silay, Sicaba Dacu Peak is also known as the Sewahon.

Like most peaks of Mount Silay, Sicaba Dacu is covered mostly by forest. There are settlement areas in the lower slopes on its northern and eastern sides. Apart from its vegetation, frequent incidence of fog could pose some navigational problems on the peak.

The first recorded climbers to scale Sicaba Dacu are Dennis S. Ella, Mariebelle P. Ella and Pedro F. Palabrica. The party climbed it through the Southwest Ridge in the uninhabited interior side on August 31, 1999.
