Hamugnaw Peak is one of many peaks in the long mountain range of low elevation in Barangay Manganese in the town of Anilao in the province of Iloilo. Trees, wild grass and crops intermingle in the lower slopes around the peak. On top of the peak is an outcrop of rock, of fused minerals by origin, surrounded by low brush. The windswept summit has a cool temperature even when under the sun of summer.
Many locals from widely scattered settlements love to enjoy the views over the summit during Holy Week. Despite of its lowly height, the summit offers an unimpeded vista of the surrounding landscape of the Central-West of Panay Is.
