Part of the Talamanca range and within Parque Nacional Chirripo, Cerro Vantisqueros has a trail that leads to its rocky summit and is accessed by a nice enjoyable rocky ridge. The trail is accessed from the trail that leads to Cerro Chirripo and is very less crowded and offers exeptionnal views on Cerro Chirripo and the Cerro Uran ridge line as also the glacial lakes at the foot of Chirripo. From Los Crestones refuge count 6.2km round trip but it is also possible to combine with Cerro Chirripo in one day for a total of 16,4km.
