Cerro Tunari

Cerro Tunari Trip Report (#10919)

Hi all. Cerro Tunari was a great experience, even though we suffered from bad weather during our second climb. My friend Nick fell and badly injured his foot, luckily it happened on our way down. He's OK now, but my back's still in a mess cuz I had to carry the mate all the way to Quillacollo (or Urqupina or whatever it's called). The climb was tougher than we had expected, the mountain doesn't look that hard from Cochabamba but it definately is. We started climbing Tunari's southern wall but had to move to its south western. We couldn't make it from the south side, yet we're fairly experienced climbers. Viva Collasuyo! /// Rory (and Nicolas)
