Thanks to Ronald James for adding this peak.

Deadwood Peak is located along the east boundary of Mount Rainier National Park. It is situated immediatly north of Chinook Pass and Yakima Peak, and southwest of Chinook Peak, on the leeward side of Mount Rainier. Deadwood Lakes lie immediately below the peak on the north side. Deadwood Peak is a difficult scramble that can be climbed in one day from the parking lot at Chinook Pass. Deadwood Peak can be seen from Highway 410 approaching Chinook Pass from the east, and from the road to Sunrise inside the park.

Deadwood Peak, Deadwood Lakes, Deadwood Creek were named for the large number of trees downed by a long ago storm.
