Niederbauen Chulm is a modest mountain on the border of Nidwalden and Canton of Uri, Switzerland. Niederbauen Chulm is situated along Lake Lucerne, north of Oberbauenstock and Gitschen. It is a prominent mountain seen from the town of Flüelen looking across the lake. The Seelisberg Tunnel, second longest motorway tunnel in Switzerland, was bored 9.2 km through Niederbauen Chulm. With 1500 meters of vertical relief above the lake, the summit has a beautiful 360 degree panorama including Lake Lucerne and the many peaks around the lake. Easiest access via bus at Emmetten, and the Niederbauen cable car. In addition to hiking, paragliding and snowshoeing are also popular activites on Niederbauen Chulm.
