Dan Engstrom and I stayed at the campsite at 15,000 ft. and left for the summit at 4am. The wind had howled all night and did not let up on the climb. (It had been calm the preceding several days.) We arrived at the summit at about 10am and were back at the campsite by 12:30. It was interesting to find a group of 10-15 Austrians on the top who used ski poles and no ice axes. With the good snow conditions it seemed an easier way to go.
We highly recommend the services of Sr. Juaquin Limon. He's friendly, inexpensive, and uses an enclosed vehicle as opposed to the open-air transport of the other provider.
