A quick 24 hour summit with acclimatization on Itza one day before. Four men, me 17 years old, my brother Trevor 21, Steve Stocking 21, and Scott Froeby 21. We started climbing at about 2pm on the 18th of march and we were back before 2pm on the 19th of march. We camped at about 16,200ft. on a large step half way up the mountain, below the sarcofugus. We hiked with mountaineering boots past 18,000ft. before putting on crampons. We felt comfortable with our skills as we went, so we didn't even rope up. We were about 100ft apart towards the top. Steve summitted first, I followed and then met up with him for the descent to base camp. Trevor and Scott stayed close together to the summit and for the descent. We all packed up and were off the mountain in a few minutes.
