A moderate altitude peak located in the Urner Alps on the border of Nidwalden-Obwalden cantons. Situated north of Engelberg and immediately south of the Bannalpsee reservoir.
The Walenstöcke group is easily seen from Stanserhorn across the valley. Name translates as large whale stock or large whale sticks.
Prominence: 32 meters.
