Thanks to Ronald James for adding this peak.

Peak 6870 is located in North Cascades National Park on the east boundary line. It's situated immediately between Heather Pass and Horsefly Pass, and north of Maple Pass: it's a triple pass peak. It's also between Lake Ann and Lewis Lake. Anyone heading to climb Black Peak via Heather Pass makes a long tedious traverse of the talus/boulder field on the north flank of Peak 6870.

It is a day hike and scramble from the North Cascades Highway via the Lake Ann / Maple Pass Loop Trail. The Maple Pass Loop Trail is 6.5 miles and a side trip scramble to the summit of Peak 6870 adds less than a half mile.

Prominence: 230 feet.
