Thanks to Agnese for adding this peak.
Mont de l'Arpille is part of the Mont Blanc massif. A trail starts from Col de la Forclaz at 1527 meters, a Swiss mountain pass on the "Tour du Mont Blanc", reachable by public transport from the city of Martigny. The trail is steep from the beginning, goes through a forest, and then becomes more gentle near the summit. On the summit there is a great view of the surrounding Alps, glaciers, and of the Rhone valley, and also a table-map to identify the peaks.
It's possible to traverse the summit and descend along the northern face going through pastures to reach the bus stop at Le Feylet (1175 meters); another longer option is to walk all the way to Martigny (467 meters).
During winter, the summit can be safely reached in snowshoes.
NOTE: Trip reports were previously called "Summit Logs" - same feature, new name
