Round Mountain

Round Mountain is located in the center of Castle Valley, and approximately three miles south of Castleton Tower. This 1000 foot hill would be easy to overlook were it not for the fact it appears curiously out of place as the solitary hill on the floor of this spacious flat valley. Round Mountain is a bysmalith, or igneous plug, consisting of grey hornblende plagioclase trachyte.
