Twin Buttes

Twin Buttes is a pair of prominent sandstone buttes in the beautiful Sedona area. It's located a couple miles south of Sedona on the east side of Highway 179. The East Peak is the higher at 5558 feet. The West Peak is 5335 feet. The Church Spires surrounding the Twin Buttes are known for some of the better cragging in the Sedona area. The two larger 400-foot spires are known by several names: Two Nuns, Two Sisters, and Christianity (aka Beckey) Spire and Streaker Spire. Chapel of the Holy Cross is built into the slopes of West Butte.
