The Castle is a fitting descriptive name for a Wingate sandstone peak in Capital Reef National Park. It's situated along Highway 24 adjacent to and north of the park visitor center, towering about 800 feet above the road. This is a remote and sparsely populated area of the country, well known for scenic hiking. The Castle is a technical rock climb, but is rarely climbed.
