Bystra
The highest peak of Western Tatras Range, approximately 0,5km from the main ridge of this range (Main ridge follows polish-slovakian border).
Massive and broad in Western Tatras panorama, dominates above 4 valleys: Kamenista, Rackova, Bystra (slovakian side) and Pysznianska (on polish side).
There are at least 3 main marked-routes to the peak from Slovakia - each follows one of the valleys mentioned before and 1 marked-route from Poland. All routes are easy but time-demanding (typically it tooks 6- 9 hours up/down).
Notice: It's officially forbidden to hike in Slovakian Tatras from 1st Nov-15th June.
I highly reccommend to hike from polish side - easier car/ bus access to starting point in Kiry (8km from Zakopane- "capital" of polish Tatras) more infrastructure and people, all year open hut in Hala Ornak.
The view from the peak is extensive and covers almost all important peaks of Western and High Tatras.
