Thanks to Jonathan Boarini for adding this peak.

Fuego (Fire), as its name says, is one of the most important and dangerous volcanoes in Guatemala.

Because of its closeness to Antigua and Guatemala City, its eruptions have been accurately recorded.

It is a very steep and jagged-sided cone, always steaming, trembling and rumbling, and has sprung back into major activity in May of 1999, when many people had to be evacuated from Alotenango. The climb is not technically challenging, but can take over ten hours, in very rough terrain. Incredible view from the summit of the Pacific ocean, and of other major volcanoes of the Guatemalan chain.

Sorry, we don't currently have the latitude and longitude of Fuego in our database. Therefore we can't show this peak on a map.
