it is a hard climb, be sure to be in good shape and have enough water, i was with Juan Jose my partner, and we started early in the morning about 5 am to climb, we left the car in alotenango

this volcano is hard because the path is long, the first part is dense forest and a lot of tree root obstacles, after leaving the forest, comes the hardest part of the climb which is walking on a very slippery sand surface with hard texture, you give ten steps and go back 7, beucase of the slippery nature of it,

when you finish the ridge called "el camellon" you can feel in the summit, but if you want to go for more you can climb to near the crater but you risk your life due to the sudden explosions and gas emanations from the "vulcanian eruption category" of this volcano. which is very violent

views are magnificent and the experience of the summit is very rewarding due to the dificulty

remember be in good shape before attempting it and carry enough water because the weather is hot and humid.
