From the Ayes Hut up along the glacier to the South ridge of Pollux. A nice climb on easy rock and snow. Good conditions and well protected from the wind. There are three chains which bring you first across and then up to the statue of Madonna, no not that one, the other one. From here along the snow rigde to the summit. From the summit you can either ski down, winter usually, or come down the same way or drop down to the north, direction Monta Rosa Hut. Due to the condition we came down the same way as we had gone up. There is the possibility to abseil down the chained part you are not too happy to climb down. Finally you can use the coulour to slid down to the bottom. From here a long trek back along the slopes of the Breithorn to get to the Keine Matterhorn Cable car. Great weekend.
