Highest peak in the Western Cape, which can be climbed in 5 hours from De Doorns. Towers over the vineyards of the Hexriver valley, along with the rest of the range. A rugged mountain range, with an eerily similar 40 degree sloping southern aspect along the entire range. Views from the top include most of the Western Cape ranges to the north, west (also Table mountain 150 km away) and south, and the vast expanses and typical buttes and mesas of the Karoo towards the east.
