Did not need crampons, but was extreamly cold. Very little snow. Followed mostly easy clear trail. but the first and only traverse can be shakey in the dark, and as well on the decent when you are tired. The only other hardship is the lack of oxygen and pressure. 7 hours up and 2 down. Cost was $70 USD for 4x4 transporation, tents, plastic boots, glases, gaiters, hiking poles, and some soop and coca tea. Feft hostal at 8am and drove to 16500', hiked to 17000' and spent the night. Left at 2am, summit at 9, and back to the car by noon and back at the hostal by 2pm. 7 of us total only myself, the guide and one other made it. Beautiful and clear, but clouds cover the mountain in the afternoon so best to make good time.
