Reaching the summit of Cotopaxi was one of the most memorable moments in my life. Not only was the view incredible but the climb to the top was both challenging and exhilarating. For anyone considering doing this climb: drink lots of water, bring aspirin (or something for headaches), check out your guide thoroughly, bring good equipment (don't take cheap equipment for lower price ñ it's worth the money) and don't forget your camera. I had done climbs here in Ecuador to help prepare myself: RumiÒahui, Ilalo and Imbabura. It was also my first time with ropes, crampons and ice axes. Although not a technical climb the length and altitude make it difficult. We reached the summit in 5 hours (saw the sunrise) and descended in 2 hours. Wonderful, incredible, amazing and well worth it. MuchÌsimas gracias a Jonny, Santiago, Rodulfo, MartÌn y Ignacio ñ chucha tuya.
