If you want a really fun and less-traveled way to hit the Tabeguache/Shavano combo, do what I did and hit them from the north valley. Take the Mt. Antero road over the 1300 ft pass between Antero and Grizzly Peak, and decend into the valley just to the south (valley between Antero and Tabeguache) From here just start hiking up to the obvious saddle to the south of you, which will get you on the western ridge of Tabeguache. There's no trail, but its nothing above class 2 and you normally have the ridge all to yourself. Great way to do 'em!
