Left Glenridding at 11am and the weather did not look to good, as it was raining and windy. Climbed via Swirral edge with visibility down to 20 ft and wind gusting high.
Reached the summit and met 2 other mad people at the shelter, where a coffee was warmly welcomed. The wind got much worse and visibility 0. Tried to find striding edge but could not even see it to descend.
One very strong gust of wind on the summit began to lift us so we dived for the safety of the ground. Eventually found Swirral edge again and descended the same way.
What an experience all over in about 4.5 hrs. Will do it again, but on a better day.
