Hintere Goinger Halt

One of the peaks in the Kaiser mountains which can easily be reached. From Ellmau it is an easy walk up to the Ellmauer Tor, a wide pass about 2000 m high. From there the summit of the Hintere

Goinger Halt can be reached in another 30 minutes. Mostly easy trail, short portions of easy scrambling.

From the summit one has a perfect view of the spectacular limestone walls of the surrounding Kaiser peaks which feature lots of classic difficult rock climbs. In the distance other ranges of the Northern
Alps (Berchtesgaden Alps, Leoganger and Loferer mountains) and behind the Kitzbuehl Alps the snow covered peaks of the central Alps, especially of the High Tauern (Grossglockner and Groþvenediger)are clearly visible.
