We drove with our caravan up to the metrological station (3000m) were we found a nice place at the lake. A beautiful campsite, especially when you have had 40°C in Erewan. Ther is a small kiosk where you can get some food and drinks. The way to the highest of the 4 existing summits starts at the metstation. There you are following the path to the lowest peak where you will meet also families at the weekend. Then between this small peak and the second highest (4057) you will find the way into the old vulcan. On the way to the top (4090m) you have to pass some snowfields before you reach the right slope of the peak. From here you can`t miss the way up to the top. Never use the left slop(which look nearer and easy), even if you read it in the lonley planet. This way ends in the rocks 70m under the summit. It is very difficult to climb this route! Enjoy Armenia!!!
