I have been up to Lake Constance many times and Up to the summit of Constace a couple of times. Always make sure that you have plenty of food because every single time that I have gone, the weather changed on us so rapidly that we were stuck up there for a lot longer then we wanted to be. The last time that I summitted was June-July of 2000 with my father. We climbed the West Arete route and that was an absolute blast. I loved it. Not very dufficlut to climb but very long. It took us 13 hours to get on the the North Shute trail from the West Arete route. There, it was too dark to go down the North Shute Trail so we had to Bivouac up there and it was gorgeous that night. Not a single cloud in the sky and the moon was full. It was very chilly but we had enough gear to stay warm and barely enough food to get us back down to our camp which was part way up Avalanche valley. I will never forget that climb. I loved it!
