On day one we walked from Betten via Bettmeralp, crossing the Aletschglacier to the MittelAletschglacier and bivouac in the MittelAletschbivouachut. This is a pretty long walk, 7 hours. This hut is equiped with blankets and some emergency gear. On day two we started to climb at 5 in the morning to the Aletschjoch and over the east ridge on to the summit. There are two sections in the ridge which are pretty airy. After reaching the summit we plunged down the same route. In the evening at half past eight we were able to catch the cablecar from Bettmeralp to Betten. We had beautiful weather and very claer sight of practically all the 4000 m peaks in the alps.
