I went to peak Timios Stavros (Mt. Psiloreitis) at 1st August 1999. I was alone and I went to Nida the last day's afternoon. The villagers are visiting the peak during the sunner at night, when it's full moon. I was unlucky because the previous day, the night was cloudy. So I slept in a small church named "Analipsi". I started walking at 5:30 a.m and trekking to the peak took me 3 hours. During the summer this is very difficult, because of the very hot weather. You need to have more than 2 litres of water. I came back to Nida plateau at 12:00 o'clock. Walking after 10 o'clock in the morning is very dificult, the sun is the worst enemy.
