Beech Mountain

Beech Mountain (5505') is a major ski attraction in the southeast. Highway 184 heads up the mountain, with a lot of switchbacks. There are restaurants, shops, resorts, and many places to stay on top of Beech Mountain. Banner Elk sits about 2000 feet below the mountain, and Boone is about 20 miles away.
