Very cold climbing from the South Col. Estimate -55 or -60 degrees. I suffered frostbitten finger tips after taking glove off to chip ice off my oxygen mask. My brother suffered frostbitten toes and may lose some.
Views from the summit were out of this world. Above all clouds, and could see for miles. Kangenchunga, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Pumori and many more were visible. Reached summit with Ben (my brother) See www.tomclowes.com for photos...
