This easy scramble (primarily a long walk-up) is a long day. The first few hours is a long grind up switchbacks in enclosed forest with few views. Finally you reach the central gully (large watercourse). Don't head up the gully as it will not get you to the top, even though a well defined trail tempts you. Once you are well up the Dragon's back, you finally reach tree line and the summit doesn't appear too far off. However, the scree on the final bit is extremely loose. You can either circle left and follow the scree to the top or tackle a slab (which I did) for a welcome change of pace. This is an extremely popular trail even with the 1570m/5150' elevation gain.
