After climbing Capitol the day before we hiked a little slower on this hike. We approached from Lead King Basin to do the west face of Snowmass. Lead King Basin 4WD road is awful and deserves the name of 4WD road. Be prepared to scrap your chasis every now and then even in a high clearance vehicle. The hike in passing Geneva Lake is wonderful and the 3rd class scrambling up the west face was a good time. We ran into some snow and ice but nothing that felt uncomfortable. Snowmass was number 53 for me. Only Culebra remains. Damn The Snake!
