Glacier Creek Road, the road leading to both of the main northern routes, is still closed after winter mudslides. Repair work has reportedly begun with hopes of possibly finishing later this summer.
Meanwhile, the "normal" summit route is from the south, starting at Schreiber's Meadow and heading up the Easton Glacier. As of late June this route involved crossing a few thin snow bridges over deep crevasses, but the ice was great in the early hours before the sun turned it into slush.
We climbed in two days, and left high camp on Day 2 at around 2:30am and reached the summit around 8:00. Thanks to the early start, conditions were perfect for a hike up and down in crampons. We were back at camp by 11:30am ready for some R&R. Others left later than us that same day and had a much harder time dealing with the hot sun and the less than optimal snow conditions.
