My wife and I went up from St.Bartholomae at Königssee. Königssee is not " king´s lake, but the name comes from an old, today unusual christian name " Kuoni". It was a very long trip over Sigeretplatte , saddle Paß Trischübel and gap Hundtstodgatterl. we don´t went slowly, but we went 8 h. On hut Ingolstädter Haus we had a little problem. There was a group from Kentucky and I translated the bill of fare. An especially austrian food is called " Kaspressknödel", I think in English it may be " cheese squeeze dumplings". It was not easy to translate. Next day we went up to Hundstod over steep and a little exposed brickle and from the summit we enjoyed the wonderful view. Descenting we crossed a part of Steinernes Meer and descented from Funtensee to St. Bartholomae in 9 h.
