Not sure why this non-technical route isn't more popular; fall colors of deciduous foliage in first two miles were stunning, and nice view of Death Valley and Area 51. I took it in 7 hours trailhead-to-trailhead (fairly aggressive pace with no snow) and encountered only 5 people. Other descriptions I found online seem accurate. Trail is well-marked and there are few or no side-trails to get lost on. Trail quality is pretty good, not very rocky at all. Be prepared for very strong winds (60 mph+) at final approach to summit, with some exposure. Take water - if you're up there after snow melts, there will be no water of any kind. Saw the plane wreck and was amazed by the state of preservation of some of the parts.
