I grew up just a few blocks away from Mount Olympus, so ever since I was a little kid I've been hiking and scrambling around up there and have climbed it more times than I can count. On Sept. 8 2001 my friends Rob Kilkenny and John Coulter and I climbed the Great Chimney (5.6) on the North face and went to the North summit then traversed to the South summit and went down the normal hiking trail. It is a really fun route but has some loose rock. I have also climbed the West Slabs (5.4) many times. That route is very fun, lots of slab climbing on very solid rock. My best time for that route was just under 2 hours car to car.
