We met with our Exum guide Calvin in Jackson and went through some basics and did a gear check. Met in the morning in Crowheart och used the O'Neal outfitter to drive us to the Cold Springs trailhead.
Hiked up over the pass and down to the junction with the Glacier trial. We camped close to the junction. Next day, we continued to just below the boulder field at about 10,400 ft elevation. Third day we rested and hydrated ourselves, a short hike across the boulder fields and early to bed. Alpine start and a bit hard to cross the creek as the melting snow raised the level over the night. We climber across the snow bridge and up to the Gooseneck and then along the summit ridge. A short break at the summit. Clouds were coming in and we decided to descend. I proposed to Eva at the summit!
The was our 34th US state highpoint and the first of the hard Northwestern ones.
